I was always drawn out into the world, to travel, explore and discover. Until a cardiac event put an end to the adventure.
Using all the willpower and perseverance I could muster, I claimed back my health – and became a successful nutritionist in Hollywood (Swiss Nutritioneer).
As I had invested a lot of time, energy, and money in my nutrition practice, the logical thing would have been to further focus on my career as a nutritionist.
But deep in my heart, I carried another true passion:
I am fascinated by people’s stories. People who were not afraid to try new things, explore the unknown, poke around, question current beliefs and turn things upside down. My life’s dream is to tell their stories so that you and I can learn from them.
That’s why I started all over again as a documentary filmmaker.
Life begins at the end of your comfort zone.
René lives in Los Angeles with his wife Mirjam and their dogs Spartacus and Trouble. He regularly visits Switzerland and his home town Thun while filming for his projects.
